Six Deck Blackjack Rules

  • The object of the game is to draw cards that add up to 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over (bust). Blackjack is an Ace and any Ten-value card on the first two cards dealt. Blackjack pays 3-2.
  • The Jack, Queen, and King count as 10. The Ace counts as 1 or 11, whichever you wish. All other cards count as face value. The dealer gives each player two cards. The Dealer's first card is face up, his second card is face down.
  • If you are satisfied with the total of your two cards, you can "stand" (draw no more cards). If not, you can take a "hit" (draw one or more cards, one at a time). If your total is nearer 21 than the Dealer's, you win even money.
  • If you go over 21 (bust) you lose even if the Dealer goes Bust. A tie is a Standoff and nobody loses. After each player is satisfied with the cards he has asked for, the Dealer turns up his hidden card. If he has 16 or less he must draw additional cards until he reaches 17 or over. If he has 17 or more he does not take any more cards. Dealer hits on soft 17. If he busts he must pay all the players still in the game.
  • Always split pairs of Aces and pairs of Eights. Put equal amount of bet next to original wager. Your cards are split and you are now playing two separate hands. When pairs of Aces are split the player only receives one card for each Ace. NEVER SPLIT PAIRS OF 10-VALUE CARDS. The object for Splitting Pairs is to improve or salvage a hand (two 8's equals 16, a player splits in hopes of drawing to two hands of 18 each).
  • You may double down on any first two cards and after splitting on shoe games only, preferably totaling 10 or 11. Player doubles his bet and is dealt only ONE more card. The object of doubling down is to double your winnings.
  • If you decide to take insurance you are insuring your hand in the event the dealer has Blackjack. Insurance pays 2-1, therefore, if you have a $2 bet you should take a $1 insurance wager (1/2 of original bet). If the dealer has Blackjack you lose your original bet, but you are paid $2 on your insurance.

Spanish 21 Rules

  • The game of SPANISH 21 is played with Spanish packs. For centuries, the Spanish have played various games with the Spanish "pack" of 48 cards. Games using the Spanish pack spread throughout the colonies of South America and even to the Philippines, where the Spanish pack is still used today. The 48-card Spanish pack is the same as the standard 52-card deck, except the tens are eliminated.
  • Spanish 21 is like regular 21 (blackjack) with more options, providing more fun and more ways to win.
  • SPANISH 21 has a unique appeal for the gambling public in that splitting, re-splitting, doubling after splitting, and doubling on 2 as well as 3 or more cards is allowed. Today's player dearly loves these old time rules. Best of all, the widely detested push on Blackjack and a hand total of 21 is FOREVER eradicated, because in the SPANISH 21 game ALL 21's are paid, with some of them being rewarded at higher payoffs.
  • Match the Dealer Bet -In addition to the regular Spanish 21 bet, a player can make a Match the Dealer bet, betting that either of his first two cards will exactly match the Dealer's up card in rank. There are only two payoffs, a suited rank match and an unsuited rank match.
    • The player makes the Match the Dealer wager by placing a bet in the provided Match the Dealer betting circle. In order to play the Match the Dealer bet, the player must make a regular Spanish 21 bet. The Match the Dealer bet may not exceed the regular Spanish 21 bet.
    • The Match the Dealer payoffs are:
      • Non-suited 3 to 1
      • Suited 10 to 1
  • Decks -Uses 6 Spanish Decks A-9, J, Q, K (no 10's)
  • Player's Blackjack - Always beats dealer's Blackjack - Pays 3-2
    • Players may bet up to 1/2 the original bet, on any Dealer's Ace card showing, including a paid Blackjack.
  • Player's Total of 21 - Always beats dealer's total of 21 - Pays 3-1*
  • Pair Splitting - Player may split cards of equal value including ACES up to 4 hands - hitting and doubling of split hands including ACES - is allowed.
  • Double Down - Once with 2 or more cards, on any total including after splitting. No bonuses on doubled hands
  • Double Down Rescue - After doubling if a player is dissatisfied with his non-busted hand, he may rescue (take back) the DOUBLED portion of the bet, and forfeit the original wager.
  • Surrender Allowed - Allows the player to forfeit 1/2 of his original bet, on his first two cards only and drop from the hand, against any dealer up card. If dealer up card is a Face or Ace dealer must check for blackjack; if no dealer blackjack, player may surrender when it is his turn to play.
