Upcoming Performances That Knock Your Summer Socks Off

Well, folks, we made it. We got through the winter, the April showers. Now it’s summer and you get all the perks that go with it. Sunshine, vacations, the beach, camping, and some excellent performances here at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort. Here are some can’t miss events this summer:

Queensrÿche (June 14th, 2018): With all due respect to jazz flutists, summer is for rock. Queensrÿche (don’t forget the umlaut) is a great band with Northwest roots. For over 30 years these prog-metal legends have used their extraordinary musicianship to rock arenas around the world and now they are coming to us! Don’t expect to do much sitting if you come to this show! (Event Center, 18+, Doors open at 6 PM, Show at 8 PM, General Admission $24.)

Femmes of Rock (June 21th, 2018): You’ve never heard violin like this before! These women bring the house down with their awesome and crowd-pleasing covers of the classic rock songs you love. Sure it’s possible to go your whole life without hearing a Pink Floyd violin cover but why would you want to? (Beach Rock Music and Sports Lounge, 21+, Doors open at 6 PM, Show at 8 PM, General Admission $25, VIP w/ Meet & Greet $60.)

Player (June 28th, 2018): These yacht rockers scored a trio of Top 40 rock hits including their #1 single “Baby Come Back” in the late 70s. Their smooth yet tight melodic style made them a staple of the soft rock scene of the 70s. (Beach Rock Music and Sports Lounge, 21+, Doors open at 6 PM, Show at 8 PM, General Admission $29, VIP w/ Meet & Greet $109.)

Creedence Clearwater Revisited (June 30th, 2018): Featuring 2 founding members of Creedence Clearwater Revival, these southern rock legends can bring the energy. Add in lead guitarist Kurt Griffey (no relation to Ken Jr.) and vocalist Dan McGuiness and you will be dancing in the aisles. We are not responsible for any injuries sustained while playing air guitar. Tickets are on sale now. What are you waiting for? Get them here. (Kitsap Sun Pavilion, Bremerton, WA. 21+, Doors open at 6 PM, Show at 8 PM, Tickets $24-50.)

The Red, White, & Boom Party ft. Tony! Toni! Tone! (July 4th, 2018): What could be better than spending 4th of July with 3 guys named Tony but with different spellings? This Oakland R&B group experienced both commercial and critical success leading to 3 platinum albums and a string of no.1 singles. Check out “If I Had No Loot” to see their instrumentation, vocal harmonies, and unique style. After the show, stay for the fireworks! (Event Center, 18+, Doors open at 7 PM, Show at 9 PM, Tickets $19-65, VIP Meet & Greet $149.)

Bill Engvall (July 22nd, 2018): If you want to laugh so hard you have to call in sick to work the next day then this is the show for you! Blue Collar comedy legend Bill Engvall brings his clean but hilarious working class act to Suquamish and you better make room in your schedule for this. Unless, of course, you hate fun. (Event Center, 18+, Two Shows: 7 PM & 9 PM, Tickets $45-59, VIP Meet & Greet $99.)

Robert Cray Band (July 29th, 2018): This American Blues legend is the type of artist that other musicians list as their favorite. Cray has toured with the likes of Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, BB King, and Bonnie Raitt. Get those tickets, my dudes and dudettes. (Event Center, 18+, Doors open at 6 PM, Show at 8 PM, Tickets $45-99.)

Are you excited? We’re excited. Come see these awesome shows and remember: life’s a game, live it up on the Waterfront!
