It’s Time to Submit for the Annual Fat Tuesday Parade of Service!

Hello, Kitsap County nonprofits and friends! Fat Tuesday is around the corner and it’s time for local charitable organizations to apply for a spot in Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort’s Annual Fat Tuesday Parade of Service!

If you are a designated 501(c)3 organization that is not a political, religious, or children’s organization you are invited to submit your entry to have a float in our parade in 2018.

Fat Tuesday Parade Of Service Form Entry Is Now Closed

20 participants will be chosen of those who apply. You will be given a red wagon and a few rules, other than that you will use your creativity and what you see fit to make a float that represents what your organization is about. From January 30 thru February 13,2018, your float will be on display for the community to judge.

On February 13 at 7PM your float will be part of the Fat Tuesday Parade of Service in the Casino and Event Center. Make sure that your float is both interesting and awesome because you can win prizes! The organization with the best float will be given $3,000, second place will get $2000, and third place will get $1000. Each participating organization that doesn’t show (3rd place or better) will be awarded $500.

The Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort gave over $14,000 in cash to the 18 non-profit organizations that participated in this year’s parade. The winner was the Suquamish Garden Club, who spent 280 hours working on their float! They did an amazing job and used their money to provide an irrigation system at Angeline Park. Other winners included The Olympic College Alumni Association and Summit Assistance Dogs.

If you would like additional information or be put on the list to be contacted when applications are being accepted, please contact Lisa Rodriguez at lisarodriguez@clearwatercasino.com. We look forward to seeing your amazing floats!
